Is there anything for us who already own a home and looking to move?Jason,Yes! Not only was the $8,000 tax credit for First-time Home Buyers extended through April 1st , 2010, but there is also a new $6,500 tax credit for Repeat Home Buyers. There are income limits of $125,000 for individuals and $225, 000 for married couples and a few other restrictions that may apply, but basically just about everybody buying a house before April 1st will get a tax credit. My only advice is that I would recommend acting sooner rather than later. With interest rates hovering around all-time lows and this new tax rebate incentive, we have already started to see an increase in purchase activity and the best bargains may be gone in weeks rather than months. As always, feel free to call me to firm up some numbers. Stephen |
